As Microsoft is set to launch their new windows version this summer, here are some things you need to know about the windows 11 before making your purchases.

The new look.

Judging from what we’ve seen so far (during Microsoft’s official launching), we can tell the the windows 11 has a new user interface which has this glassy look, making it stand out from it’s predecessors. I would say that Microsoft’s teams really came through with the aesthetics in this version. Alot of changes were made to it which included a default centralized start menu, a swipe menu by the left just like the Android’s explore tab, the icons we’re also improved with rounded corners to fit with it’s glassy new look and some animations we’re added to the dropdowns to improve it’s user experience.

Android app support.

Now this is the top notch mind blowing feature in the windows 11 scheduled to launch this summer. It now runs Android apps natively!!

Let me clear this with you. Windows 11 now supports popular Android apps like tiktok, picsArt and much more which is used mostly on Android devices without the need for an Android emulator. It just creates a smaller window just like the size of a Mobile device and runs it there.

Actually, this was done in a collaboration between Microsoft and Amazon. The windows 11 doesn’t come with Google play store so instead, it uses Amazon’s app store integrated in the windows app store for it to function.

What this means is that if you want to download an Android app on windowa, you can head to the Microsoft store and scroll normally like you’re searching for a normal app, then if you see an Android app and hit the download button, it takes you the Amazon sign up pages which requires you to sign up to your Amazon account or create a new one if you don’t have any.

Note: this is only required the first time, after you’ve signed up, you can now download Android apps seamlessly without leaving the windows store.

This is the greatest feature I’ve felt Microsoft teams have added to any of their products, the ability to use your favorite Android apps on windows is really a great marketing strategy to get more people to use their products. Nice one Microsoft!

Who knows, because of this new feature we developers won’t need to overheat our systems with Android studio anymore.
